Gone With The Wind
Soul Food, Spanish moss, barbecue, southern hospitality ... yes such a place does still exist and it's called the Deep South. This is a region that takes pride in its culture and traditions and where time seems to move a bit more slowly, even in the metropolis of Atlanta. Southern Charm is a term that is still bandied about and this is where it all started. From Civil War history to smokehouses and fried chicken, and stately plantations to beautiful sand beaches, there's enough to keep you busy here for a long time.
Located only 32km from Savannah, Hilton Head is in South Carolina. Situated on 19km of beach, this town has plenty of seaside pursuits to offer but it is also rich in history & culture. Native American, Civil War and Gullah history can all be experienced here & the Gullah culture is still alive. Hilton Head has lots of natural attractions and the numerous paths and trails make it easy to get around.
Myrtle Beach is situated in north-east South Carolina and is the centre of the Great Strand, a large stretch of sand beach that is popular with tourists due to its warm, subtropical climate and numerous long beaches.
